President Muhammadu Buhari has on Sunday, 31st of May, 2015 announced the first set of appointments into his administration, naming Femi Adesina and Garba Shehu as his spokesmen.
He said that Femi Adesina will serve as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, while Garba Shehu will be the new Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity. He also approved the appointment of Lawal Abdullahi Kazaure as the State Chief of Protocol (SCOP).
According to the designation, Femi Adesina, who is the current President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) also serves as the Managing Director / Editor-in-Chief of The Sun Newspapers and Garba Shehu, the Director of Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Council was the President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors sixteen years ago.
The report informed that Abdullahi Kazaure is a career Foreign Service official and currently serves in Aso Rock Villa as the Special Assistant on Presidential Matters.
