Abuja (The Presidency Report) – Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has on Tuesday November 4, 2014 forwarded to the Nigerian Senate the name of Okwu Joseph Nnana for confirmation and appointment as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. This he said is in line with the provision of section 8(1) and (2) of the CBN Act 2007.
The President whose letter was read by the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu (Senator) during the Senate sitting lately, expressed hope that in the usual tradition of the distinguished Senate House of Nigeria, the correspondence will receive expeditious consideration.
The Senate after due consideration, adjourned the sitting to Wednesday November 5, 2014 to enable members of the Peoples Democratic Party attend their caucus meeting.
