    President Jonathan to commission Benin-Ofosu dual carriageway

    Benin Ofosu Road(Report from Federal Works Ministry). President Goodluck Jonathan will on Saturday, 27th September, 2014 commission the Benin-Ofosu dual carriageway in Edo State.
    The project which is the rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of the Benin-Shagamu Road (Benin-Ofosu section) is 75km in length and was handled by Reynolds Construction Company with a contract sum of N24bn.

    The phase 1 of the project which covered a distance of 50km along Benin bound of the carriageway was successfully completed and delivered in 2nd June, 2009.
    The phase II, which is 76km and an addendum to phase I and along the Lagos bound carriageway and additional 25km Benin bound of the carriageway has been completed and ready for commissioning.

    Expected dignitaries at the event include the Executive Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, both Chairmen, Senate Committee, and House Committee  on Works, Senator Ayogu Eze and Hon. Ogbuefi Ozomghachi, Members of the Federal Executive Council, Traditional Rulers and critical stakeholders in the road sector.
