President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of executive directors for the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), both agencies falling under the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.
At the Nigerian Ports Authority, Ms. Vivian C. Richard Edet has been appointed as Executive Director of Finance and Administration, while Engr. Olalekan Badmus will serve as the Executive Director of Marine and Operations. Engr. Ibrahim Abba Umar has been appointed as the Executive Director of Engineering and Technical Services.
For the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Mr. Jibril Abba has been appointed as the Executive Director of Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services, Mr. Chudi Offodile as the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, and Engr. Fatai Taye Adeyemi as the Executive Director of Operations.

A statement released by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, confirmed that President Tinubu approved these appointments after careful consideration of the appointees’ impressive profiles.
The President expressed confidence that the new appointees would efficiently carry out their collective mandate, contributing significantly to the growth of the Marine and Blue Economy Sector and the nation’s GDP.
These appointments reflect President Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s maritime and blue economy sectors and are expected to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to the leadership of these critical agencies.
