President Bola Tinubu has forwarded a request to the Senate for the confirmation of Hon Amidu Tadese Raheem from Osun State as Commissioner of the National Population Commission (NPC).
The nomination was made in accordance with the provisions of Section 154 (1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended.
In a letter read by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, Tinubu sought expeditious consideration and approval of the request, stating, “Whilst hoping that this request will receive the usual expeditious consideration of the Senate, please accept, Distinguished Senate President, the assurances of my highest consideration.”

Amidu Tadese Raheem is a university don and the current Head of Department of Public Administration at Fountain University, Osogbo.
His nomination is subject to confirmation by the Senate.
