Oyo State government workers have pledged to keep picketing unless Governor Seyi Makinde meets with them.
On Wednesday, Kayode Martins, state chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), made the announcement to reporters.
Bosun Olabiyi, chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), was also present to lend his support.

In case you forgot, workers have been on strike since Monday, according to Infostride News.
The workers have been demanding an audience with the governor ever since.
In his remarks, Martins noted that eight weeks had passed since the governor had established a committee to find “palliatives” for the loss of subsidies, but that the team had yet to hold a meeting to discuss the task at hand.
He said that state employees were protesting in accordance with the organization’s national mandate.
The people of Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole are finding it impossible to afford the rising expense of living. Staff cooperative loans, vehicle loans, housing loans, promotion arrears, pension increases, and leave bonuses are only some of the things that have led to protests in Oyo State, he added.
