PSG Set To Discuss Ibrahimovic’s Future

ibrahmovicPSG will hold talks with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in February to discuss the star striker’s future at the club, president Nasser Al Khelaifi has revealed.

Ibrahimovic, 34, is out of contract at the end of the current campaign, and he has already been linked with a host of clubs.

The Swedish international has not ruled out staying in Paris, however, and Al Khelaifi said last month that the club were open to discussing the possibility of offering their record scorer a new deal.

In an interview with France’s Le Figaro, Al Khelaifi revealed those talks will begin once the upcoming winter transfer window has closed.

“I have huge respect for Zlatan as a player. He’s always remained extremely professional,” Al Khelaifi said. “We will never forget what he has done for PSG. The fans will never forget him.”

“He loves Paris and he loves PSG. Every match makes him happy like he’s 16 years old. He never wants to leave the pitch — that proves his motivation for the project. He’s given all his heart for the club.

“We’ll discuss his future in February, about what he wants to do. He knows that I will always support him.”
