The All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship aspirant in Anambra state, Senator Andy Uba says purposeful leadership is a catalyst for development.
Senator Uba stated this at the 50th birthday of Rt. Rev. Owen. C. Nwokolo of the Diocese of the Niger, Basilica of St. Andrew Odo-Akpu, Onitsha.
The event coincided with the book launch by the author entitled; Parenting in the Old Testament: Contemporary patterns, challenges and solutions for Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, Uba who is currently on a sensitization tour in Anambra state ahead of the APC primaries called on public office holders to live exemplary lives.
The Senator told the incumbent governor of Anambra state, Willie Obiano that ‘he has only few months in office.’
The Senator who describes himself as the best candidate for the state promised to bring federal presence to Anambra if elected as the governor.
Dignitaries at the event include Prof Chinedu Nebo; Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano; former CBN Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo; former Vice President, Chief Alex Ekwueme among others.
Highlights of the event include the donation of N7 million and a promise of two trailer loads of cement for the building of the church by Senator Uba.
