It was a freakish recall for British singer, Rita Ora as she recounted her scary experience with a home invader in November 2015.
Testifying behind a curtain during the court hearing against 26-year-old Charaf Elmoudden, Ora’s emotions got the best of her as the phone call she made to 999 (London’s emergency telephone number) on the night of the incident was played out loud.
According to E!online, Ora broke down in court upon hearing the recorded call as she testified, saying: ‘That phone call freaked me out a bit,’ as she pleaded to be allowed compose herself, ‘Give me a moment’.
Elmoudden allegedly broke into the singer’s apartment she shared with her sister, Elena Ora and allegedly carted away nearly $295,000 worth of jewelry, clothes, iPhones and Apple Mac computers.
‘Don’t f*cking come up these stairs, I will f*ck you up, you f*cking hear me!’ Rita was heard saying to the burglar a transcript of the call obtained by E!online.
‘Oh my God, I don’t have a knife, I know they’re going to come upstairs,’ she continued gasping as she told the operator on the end of the emergency call. ‘What do you want me to do now? I will kill him.’
The recording then captured her telling her sister, ‘Stand next to me and we can f*ck him up as he walks up the stairs.’
Though Elena who had first sighted the invader before going upstairs to alert her sister maintained she was sure about the suspect, he denied involvement and plead innocent to all counts of burglary.
