The Tony Okocha-led faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has called on Governor Siminalayi Fubara to either resign or face impeachment by the State House of Assembly.
Okocha issued the ultimatum during a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Monday, accusing the governor of mismanaging the state and leading it into crisis.
“Resign or Face Impeachment” – Okocha

The APC factional leader declared that Fubara has only two options—resignation or impeachment—alleging that the governor has committed multiple infractions that amount to impeachable offenses.
Okocha also claimed that the Supreme Court’s verdict suggested that Rivers State currently lacks a functional government due to the governor’s actions.
Furthermore, he asserted that Fubara no longer has the authority to summon Assembly members for discussions.
Political Tensions Escalate
The call for impeachment adds to the ongoing political turmoil in Rivers State, where tensions between Governor Fubara and opposition forces have been escalating.
