The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State is pleased with the ruling of the Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja, which affirmed Governor Siminialayi Fubara’s victory in the governorship election held on March 18th, 2023.
According to a statement released by the PDP’s Publicity Secretary, Tambari Gbara: “The decision of the Tribunal did not come as a surprise, rather an affirmation of the massive support the party and its candidate enjoyed from Rivers people.”
The party credited God, party members, and all of Rivers State for the triumph and praised the tribunal’s “perfect and truthful” judgment.

After Fubara was elected, the party “assured him of their support and loyalty to his administration” and expressed their happiness for him.
Infostride News reminds readers that several political parties petitioned the tribunal to overturn PDP governor Siminialayi Fubara’s election. These parties were the All Progressives Congress (APC), Labour Party (LP), National Rescue Movement (NRM), and Accord Party (AP).
The panel, however, found no merit in any of the petitions and ruled against the plaintiffs.
