The Bayelsa state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has slammed President Buhari over the non-inclusion of Bayelsa indigenes in the list of Ambassadors which he submitted to the Senate for approval.
The PDP also wondered if there was no qualified career diplomat from Bayelsa state who could be nominated as an Ambassador.
The party also faulted the Federal Government’s handling of the economy, adding that the poor policies have rendered states incapable of paying salaries.
The PDP in Bayelsa alleged that the government sidelined the state in the Ambassadorial nomination, because of the grudge it has against the state.
Punch reports that the Bayelsa PDP chairman, Cleopas Moses said “The Federal Government does not mean well for our state. Out of 47 ambassador-nominees, the government did not consider Bayelsa indigenes as good enough for one, even Permanent Secretary. Nothing has come to us. ”
A Senator from Bayelsa state, Emmanuel Paulker also protested the exclusion of Bayelsa state indigenes from the Ambassadorial list submitted by Buhari to the Senate.
