Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo has told Portuguese magazine Visao that he prefers the Spanish capital to Paris, but has not said he will never move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Ronaldo, 30, has been linked with a move away from Madrid next summer, with former club Manchester United and French champions PSG reportedly interested in the Portugal captain.
Reports in the Spanish media have repeatedly suggested that Ronaldo is unhappy with current Madrid boss Rafa Benitez, and the forward said last week that he misses former Los Blancos coach Carlo Ancelotti and would love to work with the Italian again.
Ronaldo made a point of seeking out PSG coach Laurent Blanc directly after full-time of Madrid’s 1-0 Champions League win on Nov. 3, with transfer speculation rising after both men were coy over what was said.
But speaking about the future, AS quotes Ronaldo as telling Visao: “I prefer Madrid to Paris but maybe one day things will change. Maybe I’ll get myself a girlfriend there and spend more time there.
“I have family working in France but I’m not thinking about living in Paris. It’s a beautiful city and I’ve been there several times but it doesn’t do it for me.”
