The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has directed the state House of Assembly to immediately commence the process of impeaching Governor Siminialayi Fubara.
This directive was disclosed on Tuesday by the Rivers caretaker committee of the party, led by Tony Okocha, in Port Harcourt.
Governor Fubara had criticized the Assembly led by Martin Amaewhule, stating that the lawmakers no longer exist as legislators in the eyes of the law.

He also mentioned accepting a peace deal by President Bola Tinubu following the political crisis in the state last year, in the interest of peace.
In response to the governor’s statements, the Rivers State APC caretaker committee called for actions to unseat the governor, citing the need for a change in leadership.
