Vice President Namadi Sambo yesterday led a top level federal government delegation to commiserate with the family of late prominent businessman and Aare Musilimi of Yourbaland, Alhaji Abdul-Azeez Arisekola Alao in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The vice president, who was in Ibadan yesterday on behalf of President Goodluck Jonathan, extoled the virtues of the late Arisekola-Alao, saying his death was a great loss not only to his family but to the government, people of Oyo State and the country at large.
According to Sambo, the late Arisekola was a devoted Muslim, who dedicated his God-given endowment to the service of humanity.
Praying Almighty Allah to grant him Aljannah Firdaus and grant the family that he left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, Sambo urged Nigerians particularly the younger generation, to emulate the exemplary life the deceased had led.
“He was a very good man; we have lost somebody that has served Islam, somebody that has done good deeds all his life and we pray Almighty Allah to continue to reward him with Aljannah Firdausi”, Sambo said.
