Manchester City midfielder, Rodri has come out to respond to Cristiano Ronaldo’s “unfair” comment regarding his Ballon d’Or triumph in 2024. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, it was a surprise to hear Ronaldo make such a statement because the Portuguese striker knows better than anyone how the award works and how the winner is chosen.

Rodri added that the journalists who voted decided that he should win it in 2024, and they were the same people that gave Ronaldo his past awards.
His words, “Well, it was a surprise, really, because he knows better than anyone how this award works and, above all, how the winner is chosen. This year, the journalists who vote have decided that I should win it. Probably, these same journalists were the ones who at some point voted for him to win it, and I imagine that then he would have agreed.”
