Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, on Sunday, headed to a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God to celebrate his victory at the recent supplementary elections.
INEC declared Samuel Ortom as the winner of the state governorship election around 3.52pm yesterday.
Immediately he was declared the winner of the election, Ortom halted other activities to go to the RCCG parish along Gboko Road to give thanks to God.
He urged all residents of Benue State to join him to develop the state.
His words, “We promise to provide better governance; our second term will be better than the first term. We have learnt lessons from past events.
“We have also rededicated this state to God. Benue people will enjoy prosperity if we rely and trust in God.”
