Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, has called on members of the Benue South Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to vote for credible candidates in the upcoming party congresses.
He emphasized the importance of unity and peace within the party, urging members to avoid divisive issues.
Senator Moro delivered this message on Sunday during the PDP zonal meeting at Leach Hotel, Otukpo, Benue State.

He stated, “If we are genuine and sincere to ourselves, we must ponder over what will unite and bring us together.
We are not here to ponder over who is going to be the next Senator, House of Representatives, etc. Let’s put our past behind us and strategize for a better future.
“Must we become governor before we contribute our quota to the development of the senatorial district? Those beating the drums of war shall be disappointed because there is no war here.
We should not dwell on who we are supporting and who we are not supporting but consider our positions in the interest of the party.”
Senator Moro encouraged those interested in contesting for any position to go ahead and purchase forms, thereby contributing to the party’s enrichment.
He dismissed claims that the PDP is in dire straits, assuring members that the party will rebound and regain power.
“Those who worked for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue South should come and point out to us what Governor Alia has done for the senatorial district after one year in office,” he added.
