Ogun State State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Inactive in my opinion, yesterday apologised to newsmen in the state over the attack by some hoodlums on their colleagues.
    .
Amosun while talking with newsmen at his Office in Oke-Mosan, ABEOKUTA, described the brutality on the three newsmen who were covering the harmonisation committee meeting at the state party Secretariat on Thursday as unnecessary. It was free- for-all on Thursday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital when some hard lookinng thugs believed to be members of the National Union of Road Transport. Workers in the state got into the state Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, pounced on four different journalists and residents of Leme, Abeokuta.
    .
The rampaging thugs who stormed the APC Secretariat to stop a meeting of the members of the Harmonisation Committee scheduled to hold at the party secretariat, snatched cameras belonging to the correspondents of the Galaxy Television and MITV, Kunle Ojo and Taofeek Lawal, respectively. as well as Dupe Sobukola of Paramount FM.
    .
According to Amosun, the violence that broke out at the party Secretariat on Thursday following the attempt by a faction of the party to inaugurate harmonisation committee was as a result of communication gap.
    .
He said that “what happened yesterday is something that is avoidable really. I believe there was truly what I called communication gap.
    .
Majority of the people that were there yesterday were not at the meeting where the decision was taken.
