Barcelona defender, Gerard Pique has come out to say that he is not happy with how Sergi Roberto was booed vs Bayern Munich. He recently revealed that the Spaniard didn’t deserve that as he was playing outside of his more natural role.
According to him, it hurt him seriously because Sergi is a spectacular human being and footballer who loves Barcelona deeply.
Pique added that people should remember that the Spaniard is not a full-back and he actually sacrificed himself to play a new role.
His words, “It hurts me a lot personally because I know this person, he’s a spectacular human being and he loves this club more than anybody.”
“I’d like to remind people also that he’s not a full-back… he’s a central player, a midfielder. He’s made a sacrifice to play this position and he’s done it phenomenally many times.”
“It hurts a lot but the people are free to voice their opinions but if you ask me personally, it hurts a lot.”
