Job Title: Service Engineer

I. Purpose of Position: To provide Service and Installation, training and mentoring to and for end customers and distributors in Middle East and African region with specific focus on Nigeria.
II. Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and lead customer site installation of SSE, ATG and Automation products.
2. Provide onsite training in installation and usage of GVR products to end users and or Distributors.
3. Assist project teams in achieving OTD of >90%
4. Maintain overall SLA levels at >90% on a continuous basis for the total service business.
5. Deal with customer technical requests either remotely or onsite.
6. Undertake other reasonable duties as deemed necessary from time to time by the business.
7. Ensure that all operations under the control of the position conform to all the relevant Health & Safety legislation and all responsible personnel are adequately trained in relevant Health and Safety issues.
8. Provide support in the general sales growth through business development opportunities.
III. Relationships:
1. Needs to report key issues and corrective actions to the leadership team as deemed necessary.
2. Needs to work closely with peers, and wider GVR team providing support for sales team.
3. Needs to be customer focused, and able to form effective working relationships with key customers and suppliers.

1. Overall SLA at >90% on a continuous basis.
2. First-Time-Fix at >90% on a continuous basis.
V. Background and Skill:
1. Background in working in complex operations, with strong people skills and direct contact experience.
2. Must be well experienced in the tools commonly used and found in forecourt operations and installations,
3. Must have forecourt Automation experience and previous formal training and certifications
4. Customer focused individual, with experience of managing and working with demanding customers in a customer-led organisation.
5. Able to operate from grass roots and operational level to drive and support the business results required.
6. Understanding of the demands of the petrol forecourt industry from an operational and health & safety perspective

1. Results driven individual, who manages situations through facts and KPI, and able to produce and drive effective action plans and countermeasures
2. Team player, who works effectively with superiors and peers to achieve the performance standards required.
3. Open individual, who can gather data, own and resolve problematic situations related to operational performance.
4. Willingness to travel extensively and to be both office-based and field-based as required.
5. Willing and able to be hands on in operational requirements through-out the region.
VII. Scope and Impact of Position Responsibilities
Scope is the direct installation, support, training and mentoring of end users and distributors in forecourt installations and operations across Nigeria. Occasionally it could be expected to support GVR customers in the Middle East and other African regions.
