Members of the newly sworn in Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Caretaker Committee of Ikenne Local Government have been enjoined to ensure their watchword remained transparency as they got set to carry out the task of conducting congresses across the 10 wards that make up Ikenne LG.
This admonition was given by Hon Sunday Solarin while inaugurating the members of the committee at the PDP secretariat, Ikenne, on October 4, 2017. Solarin, who is a member of the Ogun State Caretaker Committee, charged them to be neutral and fair to all candidates vying for various executive offices positing that such step would usher in peace and assisted the party in avoiding unnecessary court cases.
Arc Kayode Adebayo and Hon Kayode Ogunderu tasked the committee members on oneness and unity in the discharge of their responsibilities while Hon Femi Ogunlesi, the Chairman of the IKLG Caretaker Committee discouraged favouritism and partiality among members. Hon Mufutau Oduwaye, the Secretary of the committee, appealed to party members and leaders to provide support and leadership to the appointed officers across various wards.
In a related development, the members of the Caretaker Committee for the ten wards in IKLG were sworn in today, October 5, 2017.
The committee will conduct congresses at the ward and local government levels on October 21 and 28 , 2017 respectively.
