Super Eagles right-back, Leon Balogun, has returned back to his club base in Germany but Kenneth Omeruo is fit to play against Niger Republic on Tuesday.

FC Mainz defender, Balogun, picked up a knock during training and missed out on Saturday’s goalless draw away to Tanzania in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier.

He boarded a flight back to Germany from Dar es Salaam.

Midfielder Izunna Uzochukwu is also out, and coach Sunday Oliseh has called up Nasarawa United’s Bature Yaro as his replacement.

Centre-back Kenneth Omeruo has recovered from his knock against Tanzania. The Chelsea loanee suffered a nasty gash on his face following a collision with a Tanzanian player while contesting for an aerial ball.

Nasty gash and swollen eye on @omeruo from that clash. He still got back on and continued playing #Respect #SuperEagles
