Nollywood actress Bolaji Ogunmola has said that firstborn daughters often assuming caregiving roles can shape their expectations in romance. She recently revealed that the habit can easily lead to a pattern of prioritising the needs of their partners in relationships.
Speaking via her social media page, Ogunmola warned firstborn daughters to avoid putting themselves under undue pressure to fix everything or everyone in a relationship.

According to her, while carrying the responsibilities of your younger one is a norm for most firstborns, females should learn to avoid having the same mentality when dealing with their male partners.
The movie star concluded by saying that sometimes it is good to relax and be taken care of by your loved ones.
“As a firstborn daughter, you are used to carrying, you think entering romantic relationships has to be the same, and then you continue the cycle of never knowing what being at ease, BEING Looked after feels like, and then your daughter sees you and also thinks that’s what the representation of love looks like!!!!
Ogunmola further cautioned women against acting like their boyfriends all in the name of keeping the relationship.
She concluded by saying that a one-sided relationship will end up making the burdened partner feel burnt out.
“You are not his mother, and you don’t have to fix everything or everyone!!!! Rest” she wrote.
