Super Falcons player, Chiamaka Nnadozie feels Nigeria will not lose to France in today’s Women’s World Cup clash.
After a weak start to the tournament vs Norway, Nigeria recovered with a 2-0 victory against South Korea. But now they have to avoid defeat against France to seal qualification from Group A.
Knowing the huge task at hand, 18-year-old Nnadozie still believes Nigeria can do what is expected of them.
Her words, “I know they will feel relaxed, think that they will maybe score more than eight goals,”
“It’s going to be a tough game. They are one of the best teams in the competition, but we are letting them know that it’s not going to be like that again.
“That was last year. I know we are not going to lose. We are going to make our country proud.”
On her impressive performance vs Korea, she said, “After the match, when I saw the post, I was so happy,”
“A young girl like me getting a good record, I was so proud of myself.
“I am so proud of the defence. They did great. I know I couldn’t do it without them – they made it possible for me.”
