Unconditional love and great joy filled the air in Abeokuta, Ogun State, when Adedeji Adejare Babington-Ashaye took Aanuoluwapo Modupeola as his wife in a colourful wedding ceremony on August 10, 2019.
For the couple who believed that God is the pivot of their relationship, it was really a dream come true as they held hands and said ” I do ” in front of hundreds of family and friends who had come to witness the great day and also wish them well.
Nothing less than what unfolded that day could have been expected from a couple with their profile. Adedeji is the grandson of the great and famous Late Oba Alfred Obafuwa Babington-Ashaye, Legunsen III, the Ologere of Ogere (1945-1982) and a son to the late Otunba Ademolu Babington-Ashaye, former Principal General, Remo Division, Ogun State.
Aanuoluwapo is the daughter of Late Jonathan Sunday Bankole of Ikereku Community, Abeokuta North Local Government. He was a former Mobil Gas Station Manager and businessman before his demise.
Therefore, it was no suprise when a lot of prominent people turned up for their wedding ceremony which was held at the beautiful Event Hall of Neugate Hotel, Abeokuta.
Among those that graced the occasion included Hon Sikirulai Ogundele, the Ogun State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Kola Ogunjobi, former Board Chairman, Nigerite Nigeria Limited, Hon Kayode Adebayo, former Special Adviser on Urban and Regional Planning to Governor Gbenga Daniel and currently PDP Chairman, Ogun East Senatorial District.
Others were Princess Rounke Ogunremi, former GM/EO, Gateway Hotels, Chief Zacheaus Oyekunle, Secretary, Ogun State PDP Apex Body, Mrs Tayo Agunbiade, Legislative Researcher to Hon Ladi Adebutu, Omooba Sunday Solarin FCA , former PDP Chairman, Ikenne LG and Secretary, Ladi Adebutu Development Organisation.
Also on the roll call were Chief Onabowale, Hon Sulaimon Adeniye, former Leader, Legislative Body, Ikenne LG, Mrs Yemisi Longe Olujekun, Mrs Funmi Fajemisin, Mrs Bunmi Adesegha, Mrs Yinka Abimbola, Hon Kunle Sodiyan, Hon Rufai Uthman Tayo, Legislative Aide to Hon Segun Adekoya (Deputy Minority Chef Whip, House of Reps), Mr Bidemi Awosipe, EO, Goldmyne Communications, Mr Kunle Oresanya, MD, SolomonDaniels International Nigeria Limited, Mr Joseph Abel, Hon Kehinde Awobade, Hon Ayedun Bakare, Mr Obafemi Osho, Mr Adeniyi Ige, Hon Segun Awoyomi, Proprietor, Classique Group of Schools, Mrs Comfort Awosipe and Mrs Elizabeth Ayoka of the Directorate of Development and Strategy, Babcock University among others.
As expected, it was a very lively ceremony as guests were treated to musicals by Jacob Oladele and his Jay Wonder Melody Band and DJ Matem.
