Morgan Schneiderlin is confident the goals will come for Manchester United after three successive goalless draws for the first time in a decade.
.
The Reds were frustrated by Crystal Palace in Saturday’s goalless draw at Selhurst Park but the midfielder told MUTV the team are convinced they will return to winning ways ahead of back-to-back
home games against CSKA Moscow and West Brom.
.
“It’s frustrating when you don’t win games,” he admitted. “We have the players to score goals and we will score goals. It’s not a worry for me. We’ve had the chances and sometimes it’s just a matter of taking the time to make a good choice.
.
“It will come if we keep believing. We will keep
clean sheets, that’s not a problem, and we will win
games but we need to make sure it comes quickly.”
United were restricted to few clear opportunities in
South London, with Anthony Martial going the
closest late on when his shot was blocked, and
Schneiderlin reflected on a tough game against
Alan Pardew’s side.
.
“It was a game of two halves. We played against a
very compact Crystal Palace team. We knew before
the game they would be aggressive and that’s what
they were in the first half.
.
“In the second half, they played more long balls
and passed out from the back. They won the first
and second balls so it was hard because the ball
didn’t come at us every time.
.
“It was one of those days when we needed to be strong. We are disappointed not to win. We came here to win the game so we need to make sure we win the next game.”
.
The Reds have now taken five points from the last
three league games and sit fourth in the table but
Schneiderlin believes there has been a positive
response following their 3-0 defeat by Arsenal at
the start of October.
