Super Eagles legend, Nwankwo Kanu has come out to say that he hopes Odion Ighalo can change his decision about retiring from the national team very soon.
Kanu believes the national team needs every good player they can get no matter where he is playing or his age.
According to him, if Ighalo keeps performing at his new club, the club should bring back to the team and make him forget any retirement plans.
He added that the Super Eagles needs all players that are in form, not just Ighalo.
His words, “Nigeria needs every good player no matter where they are playing or their age,”
“If he performs in Manchester United, we will ask him to come back and tell him to forget what he said.
“This is football and we have to watch and see how the situation would unfold. Not just Ighalo, Nigeria need whoever is in form.”
