Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has come out to say that the introduction of Information Communication Technology, ICT, has made the state the safest in Nigeria.
He revealed this during a courtesy visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa Abuja.
According to him, Kano has launched tracking devices in the state to track every movement, including vehicles.
He added that his state now offers a conducive environment for the security agencies and this has boosted its security amazingly.
Ganduje hailed the fact that Kano also has an army training Centre at Falgore, which is the biggest forest in the country.
He said the Almajiri Education System the state recently embraced, that guarantees free and compulsory education from primary to secondary has also aided their development.
He then promised to work on other sectors and make Kano one of the best states in Nigeria.
