Atletico Madrid midfielder, Axel Witsel has come out to explain the real reason players are choosing to move to Saudi Arabia. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, every footballer has his own path, so whatever decisions they decide to make for their careers is nothing but a life experience they wish to have.
Witsel added that players will move to less competitive leagues for money, and there is nothing wrong with that.
His words, “Each of us has our own path. I’m not saying it was bad to leave for Saudi Arabia, I went to China when I was 27. He did well, for me it was a life experience,”
“Obviously we go there for money, we don’t have to talk about the sports project. It’s the truth, Carrasco did it and that’s fine with me.”
