The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, disclosed the details of the call while briefing State House correspondents in Abuja.
According to Tuggar, the conversation took place around 4 p.m. Nigerian time and lasted approximately 30 minutes.

Among the topics discussed was the need for Africa to have a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.
Tuggar revealed that President Biden assured Tinubu of the U.S. government’s commitment to supporting Africa’s inclusion.
“The United States is committed to seeing Africa have a permanent seat on the UN Security Council,” Tuggar quoted Biden as saying.
The minister further highlighted that the two leaders discussed collaboration on law enforcement efforts and regional security.
“The call focused on law enforcement cooperation between the two countries, particularly concerning the release of a key suspect from the cryptocurrency exchange platform you are all aware of,” Tuggar explained.
He added that President Tinubu expressed gratitude to the U.S. for its partnership in tackling security challenges across Africa and West Africa.
“Mr. President thanked the U.S. for the ongoing collaboration in multiple areas, especially in enhancing security across the African continent,” Tuggar noted.
According to the minister, President Biden reiterated the importance of the U.S.-Africa partnership, stressing that the future of the world lies in Africa.
“President Biden emphasized that this partnership is vital because the future of the world resides in Africa, and as such, fostering strong relations is essential,” Tuggar concluded.
