The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has no reason to fear any opposition in the 2027 general elections, asserting that the president’s re-election is assured based on the administration’s current achievements.
Yilwatda made the statement on Tuesday while receiving a delegation from the APC League of Professionals, who paid a solidarity visit to the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
According to the APC national chairman, the party remains confident of sweeping victories in all elections across the country, including governorship, national, and state assembly seats, due to what he described as the tangible results of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“President Tinubu cannot be defeated in 2027. He has absolutely nothing to fear,” Yilwatda said. “The policies of his administration are positively impacting lives, and Nigerians are beginning to see the difference.”
He cited various social intervention programmes as evidence of the administration’s commitment to uplifting the masses, particularly the student loan scheme, which he described as a transformative initiative aimed at expanding access to education for the underprivileged.
“For the first time in our history, the child of the poorest man in Nigeria can now go to school to the peak without borrowing from any individual. The government has made provision for that,” he said.
Yilwatda also pointed to the federal government’s ongoing empowerment programmes, including an N1.5 billion fund deposited into the Bank of Agriculture, aimed at supporting youth participation in agriculture and enhancing food security.
“This government is not just promising change; it is delivering it. The Renewed Hope Agenda is real, and Nigerians are already reaping its benefits,” he added.
He assured party loyalists that under his leadership, the APC would remain united, strategically focused, and better positioned to win future elections at all levels.
The solidarity visit by the APC League of Professionals, which includes technocrats and party stakeholders from across the country, was aimed at reinforcing support for the new party leadership and expressing confidence in the direction of the Tinubu administration.
