Chief Dr. Nwachukwu Anakwenze, a former presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said on Friday that the government led by President Bola Tinubu has failed to display leadership capacity in its first 100 days in office.
After gaining independence from Britain, he was disappointed that the country’s authorities hadn’t set it on a course towards economic glory and infrastructure progress.
Anakwenze’s remarks were set against the backdrop of Sunday’s nationwide celebration of Nigeria’s 63rd anniversary of independence.

He was especially harsh on the direction taken by the administration led by Tinubu, saying that the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government was to blame for worsening economic conditions in the country through its incessant imposition of harsh policies.
He laments the economic downturn, infrastructure decadence, insecurity, and higher unemployment rates plaguing Nigeria and claims that the current government’s draconian policies have failed to create significant impacts on collective attempts to develop democracy in every aspect of the country.
As the Onowu Abagana of Anambra State, Anakwenze also insisted that the current Tinubu administration will accomplish nothing of note because citizens who have had opportunities to assume political leadership have failed to demonstrate capacity towards addressing the myriad of challenges besetting the nation over the past 63 years.
I haven’t witnessed any changes in the first hundred days that the new government of Nigeria has been in power.
We are staying put. It’s clear that Tinubu isn’t cut out to be President. The bus he is driving has a thieving conductor. He speculated that they would force Nigeria into a “no man’s land” where they would then loot the country.
The most qualified candidates for leadership positions in Nigeria had not been uncovered.
“Nigeria has been led by the worst kind of individuals. And that’s exactly why they’re falling behind.
Keep in mind that we stand at the same point that China and India did upon achieving independence. When compared to China and India, Nigeria has clearly failed. Worst people in charge of the country
No resources are being put towards developing the next generation. God has provided abundantly for us, so there is nothing we lack.
We are rich in oil, gas, gold, and diamonds. Beans, rice, cocoa, and cassava are all available, as are many other staples.
From the time of independence till the present, this country’s leaders have been nothing but terrible. We’d all have jobs if you put the right people in charge, and Nigeria would rise to global prominence.
