The petitions disputing President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the recently ended presidential election have been described as “terribly hopeless” by Senator Ajibola Basiru, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Infostride News reminds readers that both Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party are contesting Tinubu’s victory in court.
Basiru, on the other hand, was very clear in his rejection of the cases.

He was a guest on Sunday’s episode of Sunday Politics on Channels Television.
Basiru shot down rumours that the APC is preparing for a new vote.
Based on my familiarity with Nigerian electoral law, my reading of the petitions, and my participation in the processes, I am confident in saying that all challenges to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s election are futile.
“They are hopeless petitions, terribly hopeless,” he said.
