President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential primary election in Yobe State after polling 253,804 votes to defeat his challenger, Osifo Stanley, who secured no vote.
Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, who served as the collation officer for the presidential primary, announced the results in Damaturu on Saturday.
Buni stated that Tinubu garnered 91.5 per cent of the total number of registered APC members in the state during the exercise.

The governor described Yobe as a stronghold of the APC and a second home for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, assuring that the state would deliver total support for the president in the 2027 general election.
“At this point, I want to urge all of us to sustain the tempo to mobilize, strategize and ensure total victory for APC from top to bottom,” Buni said.
He also commended party members and residents for the peaceful conduct of the primary election across the state.
