Ex Tottenham striker, Jermain Defoe has come out to say that Spurs would be top of the Premier League without injuries to key players this season. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he believes Tottenham are one of the most exciting in the EPL right now, and without the injuries to important players, Spurs would be top of the league.
Defoe added that he expects ups and downs in every EPL season because it is the toughest league in the world.
His words, “The Premier League is the toughest league in the world and it’s such a long season, you’re going to get ups and downs. But I still think for me Tottenham are one of the most exciting [teams] to watch and if we didn’t have those injuries at key moments to [Micky] Van de Ven and [James] Maddison, [Pape] Sarr and [Yves] Bissouma, we’d be top of the league.”
