A tragic incident unfolded on Sunday in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State, where a young man was allegedly beaten to death over claims of an extramarital affair with a pregnant married woman.
The disturbing event occurred in the Samunaka community, sending shockwaves across the metropolis.
The victim, identified as Victor James, was reportedly caught in a compromising situation with a woman said to be seven months pregnant and married to a popular local businessman, known simply as Alhaji Bash.

Eyewitnesses said the pair were discovered early Sunday morning inside the woman’s residence, sparking outrage among community members.
In the chaos that followed, James was allegedly doused with hot water and brutally assaulted by a mob. He later succumbed to injuries sustained during the attack.
