Popular Formula 1 star, Lewis Hamilton has come out to say that he is struggling with long COVID. This is coming after the sportsman felt dizzy on the podium at the Hungarian GP on Sunday.
According to him, he gave his last race everything and he felt completely exhausted afterwards, so he feels COVID is still lingering in him.
He added that he remembers the COVID effects when he tested positive, and training has been different ever since.
His words, “I just gave it absolutely everything right until that last lap. I am so exhausted afterwards. One of the weirdest experiences I’ve had on the podium,”
“I think [Covid] is lingering there. I remember the effects of when I had it and training has been different ever since then.”
“The level of fatigue that you get is different and it’s a real challenge. I’m trying to keep training and preparing as best I can.”
“I was having real dizziness and everything got a bit blurry on the podium. I have been fighting all year to stay healthy and what happened at the end of last year [contracting Covid] but still it’s a battle.”
