Tunisia boss, Alan Giresse has revealed that he is not happy with the way his team is struggling at the ongoing Afcon 2019.
Fellow North African nations like Algeria, Morocco, and host Egypt got 9 points in the group stage, but Tunisia only secured passage into the next round after a barren draw against Mauritania yesterday.
Even if the objective was to make it out of the group, Alan Giresse has shared that it is now time for Tunisia to step things up.
His words, “We have finished a stage and now we have to tackle another one, but with different challenges,” the French coach told the media in Egypt.”
“Three draws in the group stage does not satisfy us. It’s up to us to review all this, even if the main aim was to qualify.
“We are going to learn and we have to prepare well for the rest of the competition.”
