Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan has urged political holders to always defend government’s policies, programmes and activities through their actions and utterances as governance is a team work.

Late (Mrs.) Ngozi Ebonka was until her death, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State in charge of Abuja office and the wife of the first Deputy Governor of Delta State, Evangelist Simeon Ebonka.
The Governor said at the valedictory session held in Government House, Asaba and attended by his wife, Mrs. Roli Uduaghan, political office holders, politicians and other members of the society, reiterating that it was important for political office holders to be cautious of their statements and actions as whatever they do or say was seen as Government position.
Governor Uduaghan added that political office holders are part of the decision-making process of Government and therefore should not cast aspersions on government decisions which they participated in even when they held contrary opinions during deliberations.
He emphasized that the deceased Special Adviser believed and worked for his administration to succeed, asserting that She was his staff, a friend, and somebody he had to counsel on medical issues, a strong defender of his administration, and a strong loyalist. The Governor observed that it was unfortunate that the late Mrs Ebonka died during child birth, adding that she ought not to have died of child birth since she sat at the State Executive Council where decisions on maternal and child care are taken, unfortunately, she did not benefit from it.
Tributes were delivered at the occasion by the Secretary to the State Government, Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay, the Commissioner for Health, Dr Joseph Otumara, Special Advisers, among others while the Governor led all those present to pay their last respect to the deceased by filing past her remains.
