President Muhammadu Buhari has assured families of the Police Officer, Usman Umar and that of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Precious Owolabi, who both died in line of duty.
Owolabi and Umar gave their lives during a clash between the Police and members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), in Abuja.
Late DCP Umar, before his demise, was the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations), at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Police Command, while Owolabi was shot while on duty for Channels Television.
A recent statement by Malam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, in Abuja on Friday, has now revealed that Buhari has promised that they will not be forgotten.
He said the late Police Officer had paid the highest sacrifice for the nation.
