Social media commentator Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, of allegedly manipulating the Nigerian judicial system.
The accusations followed the demolition of a property reportedly located opposite Wike’s residence in the Asokoro area of Abuja.
Reacting on his Instagram handle, VeryDarkMan shared an appeal from an affected property owner who alleged that the land was being targeted for personal gain.
“The owner claimed that they want to take his land and allocate it to themselves after he spent ten years developing it,” he said.
Questioning the motives behind the demolition, VeryDarkMan stated, “This place is said to be opposite Wike’s house, which I find very suspicious.
May God not let this evil happen to us. People now prefer coming to VeryDarkMan than going to court for justice.”
The critic expressed concern over the public’s diminishing trust in the Nigerian judicial system, alleging that it has been compromised. “It is painful to think that no one believes in the justice system in Nigeria anymore because the judiciary has been allegedly bought by the likes of Nyesom Wike and his cahoots,” he said.
He further accused Wike of acquiring properties for judges to influence their decisions. “Imagine leaving the court to cry on social media while there are allegations that Wike buys land and properties for judges, so he controls the judiciary.
They can’t run to court because nothing will be done as Wike has the judges in his pocket.”
The demolition and the allegations have sparked widespread reactions, with many calling for further investigations into the matter.
