Vice President commissions Peoples Democratic Party Office in Katsina

The Vice President, Namadi Sambo has recently commissioned new Peoples Democratic Party Secretariats along Kano road in Katsina State.

In a brief ceremony before the commissioning, Namadi Sambo commended the Katsina State Government for embarking on people-oriented projects in the State. Present at the occasion was the National Chairman of the Party, Adamu Muazu and PDP Governors after a separate meeting.

The Chairman of the PDP Governor’s Forum, who is the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio in his speech after the meeting described the recent call by the All Progressive Congress Party (APC) on its members in the National Assembly to stall the confirmation of Service Chiefs, Ministerial Nominees as well as the passage of the 2014 budget as unpatriotic.

Godswill Akpabio added that every nominee ought to be confirmed, saying the National Assembly should be allowed to carry out its duties in the collective interest of Nigerians.

He also announced the setting up of a reconciliation committee which will work to reconcile all the aggrieved members of the PDP, including those who have defected to other parties.  The meeting was preceded by the turbaning ceremony of Governor Shema as Serkin Fulani Katsina.
