The family of a 16-year old Secondary School student was Tuesday thrown into mourning by the enforcement team of the Enugu State Waste Management Authority, (ESWAMA), who allegedly hacked the boy to death for resisting arrest by the officials.
The young student whose name was given as Chidiebere Ede is said to be one of the candidates taking part in the ongoing WAEC examination.
Officials of the ESWAMA were said to have encountered the boy while he was disposing refuse with unauthorised bag.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP, Ebere Amaraizu confirmed the killing of the teenager.
“We have received information on the alleged murder of a 16-year-old boy by yet to be identified persons and investigations into the incident have commenced to ascertain their motives,” said Amaraizu
