Paul Pogba is the hottest property in world football. The 23-year-old Juventus man has been linked with the world’s biggest clubs for more than a year, and every day the sport learns of a new wrinkle in the chase for his signature.
A year ago, Barcelona appeared firm favourites to sign the France international. The appeal of working under childhood hero Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid has been one rumour circulating since Zidane took over at the Bernabeu. Most recently and most frequently, though, Pogba has been linked with a £100 million return to Manchester United, the club he left for free in 2012.
But would any of these proposed destinations, or any other of the world’s wealthiest clubs who’ve been rumoured to be interested in the midfielder’s services, be a better place for the development of a player who’s yet to enter the prime of his career than Juventus?
