The Senate President, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki today paid a courtesy visit to the former President, Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The visit to Obasanjo was in continuation of the Senate President’s tour of drawing from the wealth of experiences and knowledge from elder statesmen across the nation on ways to move forward.
Members of the Senate President’s entourage included Alhaji Kawu Baraje; Senators Andy Uba, Sanni Yerima, Alasodura, Danjuma Goje and; a former Governor of Osun state, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
Saraki was also in Kwara State where he joined the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Zulu Gambari at the Ilorin Central Mosque said today’s Juma’t prayers.
“I’m delighted to be home in Kwara State. It is indeed a great reception. I will have time later to thank the people of Kwara State.
“It is a great opportunity for people of Kwara state to have one of us serve at this level. I pray and thank all the people for their support and prayers and everything, and I assure them that I will not disappoint Kwarans and Nigerians,” Saraki said.
