Wales forward, Gareth Bale has come out to hail the win vs Ukraine as the greatest result in the country’s footballing history. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he is very happy to be going to the World Cup, and words cannot describe how he and his teammates feel.
Bale added that the game was a very challenging one for him personally because he hadn’t played football in such a long time.
His words, “It’s the greatest result in the history of Welsh football. We’re going to a World Cup!”
“Words can’t describe how we feel at the moment.”
“It was difficult. I haven’t played too much football these last three or four weeks because of my back spasm, but the most important thing was to get through.”
“I give my all. I was running on empty but we’ve got good people on the bench to do a good job.”
