The World Trade Organization has announced the launch of Trade Dialogues on Food. This is to initiate a debate on the role of international trade in food security.

Critcal issues on food and trade will be discussed and the programme will have in attendance food and trade experts from governments, non-governmental organizations, businesses among others.
The programme will be broadcasted live on the WTO’ social media pages and persons who wish to participate in the debate, are required to email their questions to Dialogues@WTO.org ahead of the programme.
The international trading system usually moves wheat, maize, rice and soybean to feed a total of three billion people around the globe. The Trade Dialogues on Food is aimed at explaining the complexity of the food trade nexus.
