Prof Yemi Osinbajo has denied being involved in negotiations with members of the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
The VP’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, mentioned that the report of the VP taking over the negotiation is false and inaccurate.
“News reports that VP Osinbajo has taken over ASUU negotiations is untrue & inaccurate. Labour & Education Ministers continue to lead d talks,” Akande tweeted.
This news broke after Senator Chris Ngige reportedly said the Vice President has taken over the negotiation as the new head of the Federal Government negotiation team.
Ngige has still not responded to the denial from the Vice President’s office, which was endorsed by the Yemi Osinbajo himself with a retweet of the tweet.
