Acting President Yemi Osinbajo is reportedly holding a closed-door meeting with a former vice-president Namadi Sambo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Sambo, who was former president Goodluck Jonathan’s deputy, was said to have arrived the Villa at exactly 4pm.
Osinbajo reportedly ushered him into his office where the meeting is ongoing.
The agenda of their meeting was not determined as at the time of filing this report.
President Muhammadu Buhari had handed over the duties of his office to Osinbajo as he returned to London for further medical treatment.
Although, in a letter written to the Senate notifying the chamber of his trip, Buhari referred to Osinbajo as the ‘coordinator’ of government activities in his absence, instead of ‘Acting President’.
This sparked mixed reactions among Nigerians, including the Senate, which found the term ‘coordinator’ wrong.
